June 11, 2001 - Death to Deathboy

Well this is news of some concern to me: Due to irreconcilable differences between the two guys behind the label Kyndred Records, the label is now defunct. Why does this concern me? I was looking forward to a new release from Steril. Steril has a few albums under their belt, and I always thought they would hit the same degree of popularity as Covenant (since their album Venus Trap was a favorite of mine at the same time as I was listening to Covenant's Europa.) Alas, Venus Trap never had a north american distribution.
Kyndred was going to re-release much of the tracks from Venus Trap, as well as new material. I can only hope now that Metropolis Records will wake up and sign Steril now. They produce great music and deserve to be heard this side of the atlantic.
