This is the newest release by Birmingham 6, and it's excellent. It sounds nothing like their previous album "Assassinate". That album was a very good high energy techno industrial album with repetitive rhythms and beats created for the dance floor. But this album has a very serious and solid structure to it. It's darker and moodier, but still fast paced and energetic. The songs all have great uses of synths and electronic programming that make for some extremely catchy rhythms and beats. There are heavy thrashy guitars that overlay, but don't dominate. They are placedin the music perfectly. The vocals are slightly distorted, and sing superbly. All of you Front 242 fans can rejoice, because Jean-Luc De Meyer does vocals on most of the songs here. He helps give Birmingham 6 a new edge. I really like the direction that they have gone with this album. It's a polished production from start to finish. There isn't a bad song to be found here. These songs are very aggressive and alive. However, they all do tend to sound very similar to each other. But I do have to admit that with so many industrial bands changing their sound for the worse these days, it's good to finally get an album that is actually a change for the better.

This is extremely energetic music with fast paced techno beats, rhythms, guitars, and distorted vocals. All of the music found on this album would be perfect for the dance floor. But some songs are more aggressive with an angrier side to them, and feature a lot of heavy guitar. Others are more techno based with a lot of catchy hooks that just make you want to get up and move. All of the songs do tend to sound very similar to each other. They are a bit repetitive repeating the same beat and vocals over and over again. They don't go in many different directions. How a song starts is pretty much how the entire song is going to sound. But this is still very good music that is alive and would be excellent for clubs.
