Every so often a band seemingly comes out of nowhere and really surprises me. Carphax Files is one of those bands. Jsin Marx and Vecha are the duo behind the music, and really offer some great electro-industrial and EBM on this album.

The CD starts off strong with the smasher "Machine" that pummels you right away with manic programming, crunchy bass beats and slightly altered angry vocals. Track two "Another Chance To Kill" shows another side of the band with a somewhat mellower sound and clear sung vocals. The remainder of the CD plays out similar to these first two songs. You're given angry and aggressive electro-industrial assaults as well as slightly lighter club EBM.

What I like so much about this band is that they blend old school elecro-industrial with a modern EBM edge that allows for their music to be both fierce and catchy all at the same time. Basically, this is what I expect modern industrial music to sound like. Part old, part new, all good.

Now go buy this CD and crank the song "Solution" extremely loud. I can almost guarantee that you won't be able to sit still while listening to it. This entire album is infectious from beginning to end. Enjoy.
