This band creates the typical goth rock sound with guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and extremely high pitched male vocals. Speaking of the vocals, I would have assumed that they were female if it wasn’t for a picture of the singer included with this CD. Since I’m not a fan of high-pitched male vocals, this aspect does take away from this band’s sound in my opinion.

Overall, this band creates an old school goth rock sound void of any modern technological techniques such as electronic programming. This is another aspect that hurts them in my opinion. I have heard plenty enough of this style of goth music growing up that now it sounds rather generic and cookie-cutter to me. But I know that there are a lot of people out there that really enjoy this stripped-down retro goth rock sound, and this album is for them. But people, such as myself, that enjoy slightly more club friendly darkwave music with deep male vocals and beautiful female harmonizing won’t get much from this straight forward predictable album.
