Reviewed by: Darklight This is the newest album by Coptic Rain, and is even harder than their previous album "Dies Irae". This band basically sounds like Cubanate with distorted female vocals. The guitars and drums are up front, but there is some great uses of electronics, synths, and samples found here as well. I complained that the vocals were too distorted on their previous album. Well, they're even more distorted on this album. You can barely make out that it's a female singer. But most of the songs on this album do rock. The best songs here are "The Moment", "Unseen-Untold", "?Sane?", "Double Edge", "Videodrome", "First Wave", and "Mind Cage". Everything else is too strange and experimental for my tastes. The songs that I mentioned are catchy with some cool hooks in them that grab you. They are fast paced and energetic. But I would like less distortion on the vocals. I do have to admit that I like Coptic Rain's previous album "Dies Irae" a lot more. But this is still a great album with a lot of good songs on it.

Combine heavy guitars, drum beats, static, electronics, synths, samples, and distorted screaming mad female vocals, and you get the sound that Coptic Rain produces. Each song on this album is tight and rocks hard. They each have some great catchy rhythms and beats with excellent uses of electronics and synths mixed with the aggressive guitars and drums. The singing fits with all of the music great. But I feel that the vocals are distorted too much. It's rare to have a female singer for this style of band, so I would like the vocals to definitely sound like a woman's. But everything is constructed very well on this album. Each song stands out and is fast paced. There is a lot of energy on each of these songs. If you like electro metal or Cyber-Core music, this album is a must for your collection.
