I really enjoyed the previous Delerium CD "Karma", and like this follow-up disc as much, if not more. This album contains beautiful female vocals on almost each track that really give these songs their passion. The featured vocalists on this disc include: Leigh Nash, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Matthew Sweet, Rani Kamal, Jenifer McLaren, The Mediaeval Baebes, Joanna Stevens and Sarah McLachlan. With this line-up of talented singers you know that the songs here are of the highest quality. The music is an enchanting journey of mesmerizing sights and sounds that will carry you away. This overall album has a brighter more uplifting feel to it than past Delerium material. A lot of the songs seem more energetic featuring solid beats over soothing soundscapes. There's basically more of a structured pop sound to these songs. While some people might be turned away from this slight change in direction, I personally find it to be rather refreshing as it keeps everything moving along at a steady pace. As usual, the overall vibe of the music is Worldly with a lot of different cultural musical influences mixed in. While in the past Delerium delivered a lot of instrumentals with chanting, that is not the case for the songs featured here. They each contain lyrics and singing with just samples of chanting here and there. While this is still a traditional sounding Delerium CD with all of the usual ingredients that give this project its edge, there is also a slightly new direction toward electro-pop with the addition of more energetic music and structured singing on each song. This CD is highly recommended to fans of bands such as Dead Can Dance and Enigma.

Delerium is a Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber project. This is quite different from their other projects such as Front Line Assembly and Noise Unit. The music found on this album is light, uplifting and beautiful with a soothing and mesmerizing vibe. There's a lot of layering to what is delivered here. There is drum and bass style electronic sequencing combined with enchanting synth melodies, acoustic instruments, nature sounds, chanting and lovely female vocals. There's melody and harmony that will relax you and take you away. The songs play at a pace where they're fast enough to hold your interest and not put you to sleep. There are very good rhythms and beats given here that does indeed make this electronic music. The variety is rather amazing as everything is alive with emotion and passion. Every track fits together, but do stand on their own with unique soundscapes. There are instrumentals here that usually contain chanting instead of female singing. These are a nice touch to add diversity to the album. The quality of everything is top notch. This is an extremely well done production from start to finish. This material really shows off the talents of Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber. It's very professional work that deserves to be heard by many. It's a great change of pace from what is usually given in the electronic music realm. The wonderful female vocalists that make an appearance include Kristy Thirsk, Camille Henderson, Sarah McLachlan and Jacqui Hunt. All of these singers have gorgeous voices that blend perfectly with the music. I have heard similar bands such as Enigma make this style of music, but none of them have done it nearly as good as Delerium. If you want some beautiful and soothing electronic music, this album is a must.
