With the band name ‘Explode Your Brain’ and a picture
of a cyborg’s head blowing-up on the front cover of the CD, I knew that
this band was going to be aggressive. And that’s exactly what they are.
This band creates hard and heavy noisy industrial music featuring chaotic
malfunctioning electronic sounds, noises and effects while screaming
mad distorted male vocals yell over everything. But even amidst all
of the mayhem there are a lot of creative and interesting elements to
be heard.
This music is a blend of industrial, noise and experimental all rolled
into one to deliver an outcome that is somewhat entertaining in its
own twisted and bizarre way. While I’m usually not the biggest fan of
this style of music, I have to give credit where credit is due. The
tracks here are well developed and offer a lot of variety within them.
There is a lot of sound layering and inventive ideas throughout.
While this album isn’t for everyone, I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in noisy chaotic industrial music.
