This
EBM project consists of Terence Fixmer and Douglas McCarthy. Terence
Fixmer is a famous techno DJ and Douglas McCarthy was the vocalist for
Nitzer Ebb. The two have come together to make one
of the most refreshing EBM albums I've heard in a while.
There's a lot of variety to be heard here, and thats what makes the
album so interesting. The songs are a mix of old school EBM and modern
techno. But this is not some happy dance album. The overall mood of
the album is fairly dark.
The music is rather experimental in style with chaotic electronic programming
and beats going haywire as Douglas sings over it all with his unique
voice. Some tracks are energetic and would be club hits, while others
are a little slower and more experimental in sound. But everything fits
together making for a nicely structured album.
If you have been missing old school EBM similar to early Front
242, this album is for you. It blends just the right amount
of old and new sounds to keep everything entertaining.
