Gravity Kills are back with their second release and while it's good, it's also nothing new. They have taken the sound from their original album and have carried it over to here. I myself usually like bands to try something slighty different on each release thay come out with, but I can't deny that this is a very tight and well polished heavy rock album with a slight dose of electronics thrown into the mix as well. The band seem to have matured slightly from the past now creating songs that flow better. All of the rough edges are smoothed out and the music is put together extremely well. Guitars, bass and drums make up what is delievered here along with angry shouting clean vocals. The vocals are good, but don't change a lot from one track to the next. The singer doesn't really do a lot of different things with his voice. There are a couple of exceptions such as when he attempts to sound like Trent Reznor and Marilyn Manson, but for the most part he doesn't do much other than scream with rage. This is heavy rock/metal music for the most part with some melodic touches. Some songs rock harder than others, but it's all fairly aggressive. My main complaint is that the songs just seem too short. They seem to end before they should. I don't really expect these type of heavy rock songs to be too long, but I still expect them to be longer than this. The songs do sound similar from one track to the next only including minor differences to make them sound diverse. But they still manage to have enough of their own touches to allow them to stand out and keep them rather interesting. If you're in the mood for a quick dose of angst instead of a long drawn out dramatic album, this is a good one to reach for. So it does have a place in your music collection if you need something fast paced and straight forward every once in a while.

Gravity Kills is a new Cyber-Core band to hit the scene, and they rock. Heavy thrashing guitars, drum beats, electronics, synths, and slightly distorted vocals is what this band produces. Each and every song on this album is fast and furious. There are no slow songs to be found here. The rhythms and beats are extremely catchy. The vocals sing and scream. The music is tightly constructed and polished. Every song has its own unique groove. This band is a mix between underground electro punk and mainstream electro rock. There is a good balance between the two styles, and gives the songs a unique sound. The bottom line is that if you like fast paced aggressive guitar driven cyber music, you will like Gravity Kills a lot.
