Album: "Faith
In Motion" (1997) |
Reviewed by: Darklight Index is back with an outstanding album alive and full of emotion. There are so many different sounds layered into these songs that you can't really follow what is going on. You just have to sit back, admire, enjoy and soak in their complexity. Electronics, synths, noise samples, drum programming, etc. combined with a variety of different singing styles make these songs filled with interesting elements. Everything here could work on the dance floor with their slightly techno sounding rhythms and beats that make you move when you hear them. Some songs are melodic and uplifting while others are dark, angry and aggressive. There are even a few ambient style instrumentals as well. The bottom line is that there is a lot of different styles of electro industrial music to be enjoyed here. It's a lengthy well polished quality release that should not be passed up.

Reviewed by: Darklight This is an extremely catchy album with incredible rhythms and beatspresented on every song. The electronics and synths create altering music patterns that range from dancey to melodic harmonies. The vocals are extremely distorted, and blend with the music perfectly. Samples are placed throughout the music, and fit in with the futuristic sound presented here. There are some slight haunting goth touches in the background that compliment the dominating electronic rhythms. These songs are alive. Nothing is missing from them.
