Reviewed by: Darklight This is a remix album. But the songs here aren't remixes done by other bands, they're done by Kill Switch...Klick themselves. They don't sound a whole lot different from the original versions. Even though these songs are of older material, this is still a good KSK collection with a lot of variety. There are fast paced dance floor tracks, as well as slower more melodic songs. What ruins this album is the annoying filler. In-between most of the songs are short ambient pieces with samples that are just in the way of the actual songs. These screw up the flow of the album. I like to put a CD in my stereo, press play, and not have to worry about anything getting in the way that I have to take the time to skip past. I won't listen to an album very often if I have to keep stopping and skipping past tracks I dislike. As for the actual songs here, they are quite good. They're very electronic with the occasional sampled guitar. This band does have that American electro-industrial sound that mixes techno, drum & bass and funk into their sound. The singer has a good voice and sings well, but usually comes off a little too mellow. He does get aggressive at times, but I would like to see him do it more. The songs just come off sounding a bit too tame. They need to be darker. I have never been a big KSK fan since I like my industrial darker and more aggressive with lyrics that are written on a more personal level. But I will admit that KSK do make some quality electro-industrial songs that are well structured. If they could lose the pointless filler and concentrate more on making complete songs with a little more energy to them, I feel that they would stand out a lot more in the industrial music scene.

Reviewed by: Darklight This album has quite a lot of variety on it. The first song "Shitkicker" is a medium paced kind of dreary electronic song. The vocals are deep and clear. The second song "Produkt A.", which is actually the first part to song's three and four, is a high energy packed electro song meant for the dance floor with its panic frantic pace. Song five "Darkly" fits its name by being a very dark and slow gothic style song with extremely deep and dreary style vocals. Song six "Xijix" is not actually a song, but some sort of scratchy and noisy sound check. Song seven "Meth" kind of sounds like "Shitkicker" due to it being slow and dreary with a dark side. Song eight "Kremation" is a very short slow dreary instrumental piece with talking overlaying the music. Song nine "Your Money, Your Pain" is a very upbeat and catchy electronic song that is moody, but moves at a fairly fast pace. Song ten "Sides Bottom" is a fast paced electronic song with a bit of funk that could work rather well on the dance floor. Song eleven "Eventually" is a slow paced instrumental. Song twelve "Kontorted" is the first part to song thirteen, and is an energy packed electronic song that would be great for the dance floor. The problem that I have with this album is that there are only seven songs that I like. Songs two, three, and four are actually just one long extended playing song. The same is true for song's twelve and thirteen as well. Tracks six, eight, and eleven shouldn't even be on this album. They are just filler crap. But the seven songs that I do like make this album very good.

Reviewed by: Darklight You get eight really cool songs on this album. They are "Celebrate The Misery", "Follow Me", "The Hobble", "Submission", "So Happy", "Anger", "Go Man, Go", and "Decanonized". These songs feature electronics, synths, samples, guitars, and slightly distorted vocals. They are all polished, melodic, and catchy. Some rock harder than others, but the slower paced songs are good, too. Although the back of the album lists eighteen tracks, only the eight that I mentioned are actually songs. Everything else is just short strange instrumentals with a lot of samples. It's all basically just filler crap. This band has a cool style with an original vibe. But I feel that this album could have been a lot better. Less filler and more songs that rock hard-core would have made this album great. But this is still a pretty good album with some outstanding songs to be enjoyed.
