This is the debut release by Christian industrial band Mortal. This is easily their best album. They went metal on their second release and alternative on their latest offering. This album is their most industrial with a great helping of electronics, samples and synths. There are heavy guitars here as well, but they work really well. This album sounds like something that Re-Constriction Records would release. There is a punk angst combined with industrial influences. The vocals are only slightly distorted and sing with a lot of raw emotion. The singer really seems to care about what he is saying. This gives a passion to the singing that works really well. Everything delivered here is rather angry and aggressive with a punk flavor and some metal guitar assaults. But the band also makes sure to mix in a lot of electronics, samples and synth melodies as well. Some tracks have melody and good rhythms and beats while others are more heavy and straight forward. But it all works and nothing is bad or out of place. While the album did come out in 1992 it does have a slightly dated sound to it, but not enough to really make it any less appealing. If you're a fan of Coldwave music, this album is a must.

This is typical alternative rock music with electronics added as an afterthought. The main instruments making the music here are guitar, bass and drums. The vocals are clean without distortion and sing rather well. There are heavy rock songs and melodic balads to be found here. Nothing is too exciting. This album isn't too bad for the most part, but it just isn't industrial in any sense of the word. Also, most of the music found here is slow. There just aren't a lot of heavy songs. I would suggest avoiding this unless you actually like commercial sounding alternative music.

This is dark and heavy guitar thrashing metal music with some slight touches of electronic sound effects, synths, and samples. What you are delivered here are angry and aggressive rhythms and beats combined with non-distorted shouting male vocals. Once in a while the songs will calm down and get melodic. This does add some variety. But the songs do pretty much all sound the same here. Nothing really stands out or will grab your attention. It's basically just bland, boring, and repetitive metal music. It does rock, and is meant for the mosh pit. But it's your basic run of the mill hard and heavy rock music for the most part. You decide for yourself if you need another album like this in your collection or not.
