Reviewed by: Darklight Nocturne is a dark and heavy goth band that create their music with guitars, bass and drums. However, they do include electronic programming effects and haunting keyboard melodies in their music as well. Not quite as much as I would like, but enough to keep things interesting. What is basically delivered on this CD is heavy and aggressive goth rock music with female vocals. But there are slower more melodic moments as well that lean toward darkwave. So there's definitely variety to be found here. The music sounds as if heavy rock, goth, industrial and darkwave were all put into a blender and mixed together. It's safe to say that if you like any of those styles of music, there will be something here for you to enjoy. I myself especially like the songs "Dead Sea", "A Happy Death", "Hallucination", "Sub-Mission", "The Underworld", "Shock", "Pyrrhic Victory" and "The Embrace". I recommend this CD to those who enjoy heavy goth rock music with female vocals. Industrial and darkwave music fans will most likely find something to enjoy here as well.
