I was rather impressed with Pulse Legion's debut CD "Evolve", and am even more pleased with this release. What this CD offers is extremely well crafted electro industrial/EBM music with a slight techno/drum & bass edge as well. The overall sound is futuristic with a sci-fi feel. The electronic programming is fast and frantic with multiple sounds blasting off in every direction. The drum beats create great rhythms and make the songs perfect for the dance floor. The orchestrated synth melodies give the songs their drama. The vocals change between robotically altered and distorted growling. This allows some songs to sound like sci-fi EBM, and others to sound like dark electro industrial. The mixture of both styles on their own and combined together is done very well. Every track is intense and energetic. While all of these songs could be club hits, they also have a lot of emotion and well written lyrics. So while the music will make you want to move, you will want to pay attention to what is being said as well. One of the tracks that stands out the most is "Torn Within". This track is relaxed and melodic with beautiful vocals provided by Amanda Jones. While it's the only track here with female vocals, it's well placed and gives the CD even more variety. The last track "Panic" is an amazing techno instrumental that ends the CD perfectly. This band did everything right on this CD. It flows extremely well from start to finish. If you like electro industrial/EBM music, put this CD at the top of your list.

This music is extremely layered with creative and variety filled electronic sounds, melodic synths, samples and slightly distorted vocals. Some songs are energy packed for the dance floor while others are more moody, dramatic and orchestrated. Everything is really good here with a modern sound andinteresting elements that allow each track to stand out. They draw you in right away and keep you intrigued during their entire course. The production is clean and polished making this album have a very high quality to it. The combination of dark and haunting songs included with sci-fi futuristic dance tracks make for quite an amazing experience. There is passion and emotion delivered here with a cold beauty as well. One of the tracks "Maelstroem" includes beautiful female vocals. Why there are female vocals on only this one song is beyond me. It would have been nice to include them on more songs and even mix them with the male vocals. But it's obvious that this was a one time guest appearance and that's better than nothing. There is one instrumental here that is good. It breaks up the album just enough to add a different mood. The vocals on all of the other tracks are anger fueled growling that fits with the music. The last track "Hideaway" is a coldwave song with trashy guitars that sound really cool. This is the most angry, aggressive and violent song to be found here. It still manages to sound consistant with the rest of the album and is a really great way to end things with a bang. I really can't say enough good things about this album. Everything is done right here. It's variety packed with a creative edge. This is a top notch electro industrial album that deserves recognition. You can't miss it.
