Chris Randall and company return with their follow up to "Burn". This album opens with "This Metal Sky" which is a female spoken word with electronic ambient background music. The second track "Desperation" is a hard rocking guitar heavy electro rock song with the traditional SMG sound. Song three "Temptation" has more of a funky blues vibe to it with a heavy thrashy chorus. It's different, but good. Song four "Think" has nicely done electronics mixed with thrashy guitars and an overall catchy rock feel. It kind of reminds me of Gravity Kills. Song five "Living Without You" slows things down a bit with a funky blues vibe once again that includes jazz horns and an overall groovy feel to it. Song six "torque" rocks hard and heavy with echo style hip-hop vocal work that reminds me a lot of the material found on SMG's "The Torture Technique". The chorus explodes with energy and makes this song extremely catchy. Song seven "White Lightning" is the only song found here that I skip past. It's a hard and heavy rock song that is just out of place on this album. It reminded me of something that I would hear playing on a Juke Box in a dive. Song eight "Everything" is one of the best songs to be found here. It starts off slow and melodic and then just rocks hard when the chorus kicks in. It's full of emotion and variety. Song nine "What Do You Want From Me" has malfunctioning electronics mixed with slightly distorted vocals and a catchy hip-hop style beat. It's an energy packed song that is catchy. Song ten "Admit" is probably the most emotional and powerful song to be found here. It has orchestrated music combined with a good beat and extremely melodic well sung vocals. It's a very good change of pace that fits well on this album. Song eleven "Bitter End" starts off extremely slow making you think that this is going to be a relaxing song, but when the chorus kicks in it's pure rock energy. The variety and emotion found here is incredible. Song twelve "Cut Down" is very electronic with distorted vocals that sing in a slight hip-hop style and then shout with the heavy chorus. I do feel that this is the most mature and varied Sister Machine Gun work so far. I would have to say that this is their best album yet. Almost every song here is good and does include a lot of variety. If you're a fan of electro rock music, I highly recommend this album.

I have to admit when I first listened to this album that I was very disappointed with it. Sister Machine Gun is one of the older industrial bands to blend heavy guitar and punk style influences with electronics. Therefore, I expected this to be their hardest and heaviest album yet. I was wrong. This album is extremely melodic and polished. It's very mainstream acceptable. It's got pop, alternative, hip-hop, and jazz all mixed together with electronics and guitars. But once you get past the fact that this is Sister Machine Gun, you can actually enjoy the album. I like all of the songs on the album except for "Snake" and "Inside". These two songs are just too slow with too much jazz influences for me to accept. But everything else I found to be extremely catchy. The best song on the album is "Hole In The Ground". This is a hard-core Cyber-Core song all the way. It would have been nice to have a few more like it on the album. But this album still has plenty of variety and unique songs to make it a good purchase.

Statically distorted vocals, electronics, synths, guitars, and some hip-hop beats make up this album. Most of the songs presented here include a tameedge to them. They don't seem very angry or aggressive. They are more experimental. They seem to have different styles mixed into them to create their sound. The vocals talk more than scream. But there are three very hard and aggressive songs found here. They are "Wired", "Nothing", and "Torture Technique". These songs rock, and are the best to be found here. But the other songs are good as well. They add variety to this album. However, the song "Cocain Jesus" will put you to sleep because it's so slow and mellow. The song "Brother Bomb" is just flat out lame. So as with most albums there are both good and bad songs to be found here. But luckily the good outweighs the bad.

This is the debut album by Sister Machine Gun, and I can see why it put them on the map as one of the more popular industrial bands of today. The album opens with "Sins Of The Flesh" which is one of my favorite industrial songs of all time. It's fast paced, aggressive, guitar driven, and extremely catchy. But the fun doesn't end here. The songs "Why Not", "Degenerate", and "Addiction" are equally as impressive with catchy rhythms and grooves that rock. The songs "X-Rated Movie", "Don't Let Me Down", "Not My God", and "Life" are good too, but they don't stand out as much, and all tend to sound very similar to each other. Then there is "Night Returning" which is extremely slow paced. There is some variety on this album, but not too many songs really stand out.
