Album: "The
Height Of Callousness" (2000) |

Reviewed by: Darklight This four man band definitely knows how to put together hard, thrashy, angry and aggressive metal/hardcore songs with just the right blend of melody and industrial punch. The overall music contained here is heavy with thrashing guitars, deep bass, solid drum beats and electronics. The vocals switch from pissed off shouting to melodic singing. This band doesn't pull any punches when it comes to delivering intense and energetic songs that rock from start to finish. But while everything remains brutal, it's structured well with many changes along the way. Melody switches to all out rage and back again to deliver a roller coaster ride of emotions. The electronics are well placed and add another layer to the music giving it an industrial kick. I would consider the sound contained here to be a blend of metal, hardcore and industrial all mixed together to make for an interesting and entertaining musical assault. Nothing here is boring as it all hits you straight on with pure force and aggression. The only problem that I have with this album is that it's a bit short. But this is a minor gripe considering the quality of the music delivered here. If industrial metal is your thing, this Spineshank CD is a must for your collection.
