The previous Type O Negative album "Bloody Kisses" was excellent. This album seems like a sequel to "Bloody Kisses". It's basically just more of the same. There are fifteen tracks on this album. Eleven of these are actual songs, while four of them are just filler. I like seven of the eleven songs. I like "Red Water", "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend", "Die With Me", "Burnt Flowers Fallen", "In Praise Of Bacchus", "Cinnamon Girl", and "Wolf Moon". These seven songs sound very similar to the material found on "Bloody Kisses". They are dark, evil, and gothic. They each feature catchy rhythms, beats, and beauitful harmonies. However, the songs "Love You To Death", "Be My Druidess", "Green Man", and "Haunted" are all very slow, mellow, and uplifting songs. They are very boring. Nothing about them makes them stand out. They are very dull and drab. They don't feature the dark and gloomy sound that Type O Negative fans have come to love. These four songs shouldn't even be on this album. But the seven songs that I mentioned that I like make this album a must for Type O Negative fans. The three songs that stand out the most are "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend", "Cinnamon Girl", and "Wolf Moon". These are easily my favorite songs on the album. The bottom line is that this is a very good album. It's not as good as "Bloody Kisses", but it still has some great new songs for Type O Negative fans to sink their teeth into.

I can't really place the music found here. I guess it could be called gothic metal. It's very dark and moody with guitars, haunting synths, and extremely deep voiced vocals. Almost each song is about ten minutes long. These long playing songs include a lot of twists and turns that mix both melodic and heavy moments. You never know where they are going to take you next. Peter Steele, the singer of the band, has an amazing voice that puts you in a trance. The music is extremely harmonic, and will take you away on a roller coaster ride of emotions. The best songs on the album are "Chistian Woman", "Black No. 1", "Summer Breeze", "Set Me On Fire", "We Hate Everyone", "Bloody Kisses", "Too Late: Frozen", and "Blood And Fire". These songs are simply amazing with dark harmonies and extremely catchy rhythms and beats. "Kill All The White People" is the only song on the album that just flat out rocks. It sounds like a Cyber-Core song with heavy thrashy guitars and screaming distorted vocals. I like it a lot. "Can't Lose You" is the only bad song on the entire album. It's just boring. There are four instrumental filler songs included on this album as well. So you do get a lot of variety here.
