Usually compilation CDs have some sort of theme to them, or all of the bands included have something in common. However, that is not the case with this compilation. The bands that contribute songs here include: BEBORN BETON, STRATEGY, ABUSE, NOXIOUS EMOTION, CYBERSHADOW, MOKSHA, CANISTER, BATH, ARIEL, FISHTANK NO. 9 and DEATHLINE INTERNATIONAL. All of these bands are quite different from each other. They fit into the industrial and goth genre of music in some way or another, but don't really sound much alike. Also, while this is a new compilation, most of the songs here are a few years old. Not to mention the fact that only one of the bands (Strategy) is on the ArtOfFact Records label. Most of these bands are already well known in the industrial/goth music scene. So it's not like they really need exposure on a compilation CD. But I can't deny the fact that this CD includes a lot of great music. You get a little bit of everything here ranging from synth-pop, electro-industrial, EBM, coldwave to even goth. I especially like the songs provided by Beborn Beton, Strategy, Abuse, Noxious Emotion, Moksha, Fishtank No. 9 and Deathline International. The only songs that are not very good and are out of place are by the bands Canister, Bath and Ariel. If you want a collection of great music by great bands, this compilation would be a very good choice.
