Reviewed by: Darklight This goth compilation features songs by GENE LOVES JEZEBEL, KOMMUNITY FX, THE SHROUD, IMMORTALIS AMOR, WRECKAGE, SPIRAL TRANCE, ELEVEN SHADOWS, TRANCE TO THE SUN, DICHROIC MIRROR, BELLA MORTE, STONE 588, EVA O and EX-VATO. These bands unleash dark haunting moody gothic music created with guitars, bass, drums and keyboards. The vocals switch between deep dreary male singing and beautifully melodic female singing. The songs here play at a rather medium pace keeping everything energetic enough to stay interesting. The majority of music delivered here is traditional goth music that doesn't feature much, if any, electronic programming. There really isn't a bad track to be found here. But nothing really sounds that new or different, either. You have pretty much heard this same style of goth music many times before. But it's indeed quite good, and that's what matters. If you're interested in a quality traditional goth music compilation, this CD is definitely one that you will want to add to your collection.
